Where it all started for Ricky Wysocki! This was my first time playing the course, but I imagine it’s evolved a lot over the years since Ricky learned how to play here. Established in 1978, it’s the oldest course in Ohio.
There are quite a few layouts in UDisc and I found it really helpful to follow along there to know what teepad and basket was up next. I played the “Custom 18 White” layout and happened to be there during league play—they were very accommodating and welcoming. Most seemed to be playing the “Blue Tees” layout which seemed to flow better.
There are more holes across a street if you’re looking for even more disc golf! I didn’t check those out though. The main holes I played were very well-maintained and the use of elevation was awesome. Most of the course is lightly to moderately wooded but there are a few points where you can air it out a little more. I did encounter quite a bit of wildlife on the course, I encourage you to be considerate if you have the same experience.
Definitely worth checking while you’re in the area, I stopped there while on a drive from Cleveland to Columbus. Great way to spend an evening. Until next time…get out and throw!
